When did I ever think that going back to school would be a good idea?
Matt finally graduated in May and now works full-time. Even he's wishing he was back in school. But I did go to my first class on Thursday. Methodology of Teaching Foreign Languages 750. It's the one I need to become a TA next semester. I was amazed that I stayed awake, seeing how I flew back on Wednesday. And now I'm catching up on all the reading from the last two weeks of classes over this weekend. Which was a great idea, I tell you.
Some of the readings, I'm skipping. Mostly because I can read them later when I need them. Like when I'm writing a paper or studying for the midterms. But I do love how I'm writing papers instead of taking a final exam. Hopefully, all my innate writing instincts will burst their way towards my fingertips when the time comes.
Reading that back, I'm not worried. Not to be egoistic, but that's a nice sentence.
Wait, now I'm worried. Is that a word? Egoistic?
Let's see... what else can I impart to you? I've been waking up early since I got back. Like between seven and eight. And it's only twenty to ten and I'm tired. That's sad. I have so much more reading to finish. :)
And I started reading the sixth Harry Potter book. Haven't gotten very far. Maybe five chapters. But I do have to keep my priorities straight - school books, then fun books. And no, I can't somehow incorporate it into my thesis. I plan on combining the german with film. German films. More on that much later.
And now I should watch Love Actually, because it's nearing the end. And that's my favorite part....
Love to everyone!
I'm back and here to stay.... for now!
