Everything's Fine

I went to the doctor today.
I might have something a little scary.
Not like cancer scary, but still scary enough to have to take meds for it. I'd rather not type it since I have to go to the doctor again for more tests and we're not sure, it's not confirmed. So... I'll update you guys later and perhaps in person.

Other than that, everything's kosher. I've lost weight. They weighed me at the doctor and I came in under 170. Kinda cool. Especially since I haven't been watching what I'm eating in the last two months. But I will have to in the future.

I'm starting my research for all three of my term papers. Three papers of at least 15 pages. Fun. But only one's in German, the other two are in English, and one's a simple research paper. So, they are varied at least. But I still won't get over the fact that I have to start outlining and writing papers. I only just passed my midterms. Yes, I got an A- on my German 856 midterm. The german play class. And I haven't gotten back the 814 class midterm, which I wrote differently. The 856 midterm was really general, and the 814 kinda more close-read type stuff. So, maybe I'll get better than an A-. We shall see. Murphy's probably giggling because Langbehn gave me a B or something.

Allow me to involve you in my graduate school term paper escapades:
One paper will be about the study abroad program for American students and its effectiveness. I'm writing this one for the teaching methodolgy class.
The 856 paper will be about expressionist drama in Germany. Maybe I'll bring in its historical significance or perhaps its effect on society, who knows.
The 814 paper will be comparing Wedekind and Musil as authors based on their reaction to sexuality and morality. I'll be sticking to them as people, as authors and the respective works we're reading in class. "Spring Awakening" and "Confusions of a Young Torless". Both rife with sex, moral issues, and other fun stuff for adolescents.

Wish me luck with the papers, and don't call me about the doctor thing. I'll let you know. Or write me an email if you want to know more. :)
