A Wedding Without the MOH

Jen is getting married tomorrow. Chris and she are going to city hall and having a short and sweet ceremony - 20 minutes tops. Then, her mother and Anj are joining Chris and maybe 12 others (think goofy friends that would be best men equivalents plus co-workers who won't truly understand what this means to the bride) at a smallish reception. Small enough to only last a couple of hours.

There is one problem with this situation. I am not in it.

I am Jen's Maid Of Honor! The MOH! And now I have to wait for a party that she's having in the summer. Her sister Nic will have to wait until then too. But I am so throwing her the best bachelorette party ever! Lots of tequila, fake moustaches and terrible straw sombreros. Ok, maybe something more stripper-ish.... Who am I kidding?

But I am so sad that I can't be up there when she gets married. I hate that she has to get married now. I know it's not the big celebration that we'll have in the summer, but still.... I'm not the one standing next to her when she's pronounced someone's wife. We promised that to each other when we were twelve. Which is kinda weird.

:( This is my sad face of not being able to be Jen's MOH tomorrow.
