Be happy with what you get! I am a busy lady!

Hanne, Mom and I went to the Mystery Spot in Santa Cruz on Sunday. Before heading to the outlet stores in Gilroy, of course.

The Mystery Spot is this weird place where gravity and balance, etc, is just kinda funkified. It's hard to explain, but you can see in this picture how people lean without falling over due to how the gravity is, even if the ground isn't level.

Being in the cabin that was being slowly pushed off the hillside made you dizzy though.

Here you can see the way the cabin leans versus the way we're standing versus the level two by four that the ball is on.

The ball, if pushed slightly, would roll back the opposite way, i.e. downhill. Now, this isn't so crazy. Infact, it's downright logical. Except everything else around the ball and the two by four is not level.

If you put a short person on the uphill side and a taller person on the downhill side, always on a level surface, then the taller person remains taller, even though they are downhill from the short person. But if you reverse it, putting the taller person on the uphill side and the short person on the downhill side, they are of equal height.

Creepy, right?

Here I am eating my lunch at the SFSU Sneak Preview. Project Connect was there to involve the incoming freshmen. But I just look so cute..... it was a fun day and I got some sun too! Which is major, as it has been cloudy and almost cold for this time of year.
