Today is fun....
It's noon. I've already gotten a bad email followed by other bad emails discussing the first one. There's a pile of stuff on my desk that I know I'm not going to get to. And I'm really glad that Cheryl's not here. For two reasons: Cheryl usually gives me things to do, which makes me more busy than I already am. So, I'm glad she's not here to add to my workload. Little things like "can you enter this in?" or "this teacher needs money, is there enough?". Now, granted I can do these little things that she gives me. But it's like, she gives them to me in the middle of something else. I guess that's on aspect of my job, so I've always been willing to say yes to her. I do need to learn how to say no however. Especially when things go awry like today. But I'm also glad she's not here because she needs the vacation time. She's been working her little tail off trying to make sure these kids programs are secure. I don't think they ever were and the problems stem from bad planning. But hey, all the more power to her for thinking she can pull it off. I shouldn't say things like that. Cheryl's my boss. And I know for a fact that my co-workers might be reading this. Not Cheryl herself, but Sonia, TJ, maybe even Candice. If she ever has time to read things other than BVC or DIS things. :) I wuv Candice.... That was a joke.
Anyway, I am glad that Cheryl's taking some time off.
Now that that's off my chest. If you're interested, please read my other blog (In The Red) because some of the first chapter is up and written. It's a work in progress. Please keep that in mind. It will change. Words will be transplanted and phrases will be operated on. I'm a doctor, didn't you know? But also take with you that it's based on a screenplay. Usually, it's the other way around. First the novel, then the screenplay, then the book dumbed down for younger audiences with pictures from the movie. You can be happy to know the third possibility will not be created by me. And I won't allow anyone else to do that with my story.
Speaking of, should I get copyright for this? Or is it that I wrote it, therefore it is mine. Does that make sense?
So, I hope the rest of my day isn't as "ack!" as my morning has been! Good luck to you and yours!
:)
