Celebrating October

I'd like to take a moment and simply remain silent in celebration of the month of October.

....

Ok, now that that's over. Let's drink beer! Tonight, I'm going to be whiling my night away with dear old uncle Spaten! Maybe I'll dance the jig with auntie HB! And I'm definitely going to make eyes at the cutie at the end of the beer bench!

Although, to be honest, I'm not sure how long I'll last. Seeing as how the last time I had alcohol, it didn't go as well as I would've liked. Em might be coming as well and I'm sure she'd say the same. But there's more to do than drink beer. Wait...I know what you're thinking-how could that be?... but there will be a family area and a teenage area and all that. Plus shopping galore - little insignificant memorabilia pertaining to Germany or beer or the month of October.

Before doing that however, I get to observe a class. Kim's class, that is. Kim being another German grad student who will also be guzzling the precious golden brews of Europe. Happy day.

In other news, my wardrobe needs a facelift. I spend no more than ten minutes nearly each morning trying to pick a top to wear with whatever pants I have on. Because I have to be comfy without looking like a scruff. I have to look clean without being too warm - this computer room is stifling some days. Actually, most days. I come up with the coolest outfits though. Like today, I'm wearing my pink slacks, the white halter top from H&M with my purple tank with cool embroidery design along the neck over it. And last Friday I wore a gray skirt with the same white halter top, but with a bright orange tank underneath it and then my gray wool-knit shrug over that. I'm so genius sometimes. Then again, sometimes I wear a white polo with khakis.
