Hot and Cold

I am currently going through an externally-imposed menopause. I would really like to not wake up in a sweat after falling asleep with a case of the shivers.

Our heating system is actually good. Except the weather outside is in its yo-yo phase. Sunny during the day and windy-cold at night. Like below 35 degrees at night sometimes. However, when it becomes cold at night and I (ever the believer in the benefits of warmth) turn on the heater in my room, I end up sweating under the duvet when I wake up in the morning.

At the moment, I am wearing a wool sweater, a long-sleeved shirt underneath a short-sleeved shirt AND socks with slippers. Seriously, my friends, how many of you know me to wear socks willingly? Inside?!

When I wake up tomorrow, I will need only a t-shirt and pajama pants of my choosing. Both of which are light in weight as befits normal California weather. I understand that winter is here. But then, why is it not cold outside during the day? Winter is cold, right? We only had two days of rain in the last week. And Thursday was bad - winds of like 40 mph with rain. That was fun to drive in.... :)

If anyone would care to suggest anything to help, which would act as hormonal injections to cure my menopausal state, I would be grealy appreciative!
