To Dai For

Quick post since this internet connection is faulty at best. Hacking into neighbor's wireless connections, etc. But this pic of Em was too good to pass up. Doesn't she look like a devil devouring a sinner?

I had an urge to eat sushi and Todai was the closest. But all the food was kinda lame since we got there half an hour before they closed. But it's a buffet style sushi/seafood place and it's $25 per person plus $2.50 for refillable drinks. Not bad, but we just didn't have enough time to really get our money's worth. But I fulfilled my sushi craving. And Em got some Miso Soup for her throat.

Poor Em, she's been digging up clams for a couple days now. Her throat is swollen, the glands anyway, but she's not really coughing. But it's not painful. So, I'm keeping my fingers crossed that I don't get sick.

The other funny thing about Todai is that their locations are a bit funky. There's the usual SF and LA smattering of locations, but there's also Portland, Seattle, Chicago, Virginia, Texas, New York, and Hong Kong. I think it's Dallas and D.C., but the New York one I'm not sure of. It's not NYC. But Em and Tim walked by the Todai in Schaumberg when she was home. And she was like: That looks familiar..... And then there was another "I thought this was only in SF" moment when she saw a Surf City Squeeze in Schaumberg too. Surf City's kinda like a Jamba Juice - slushies of fruit origin. But I've never seen one outside of Stonestown.

The world gets smaller every minute apparently.
