Due: 9/24/06

I just taught the worst German 101 class ever.

OK, maybe not ever. But I was really unprepared and I'm sure towards the end, the class was just thinking - When can I leave?

I did manage to cheer myself up almost immediately, because I remembered what a great night with Melissa I had last night! We went to this wine bar close to her digs in the Financial District and talked about relationships and funny stories and school and just stuff. And then she was hungry and was telling me about empanadas and I got hungry too, so we went back to her place and ate butternutsquash empanadas while watching CSI New York. It was fab!

My class today was cancelled because the professor is ill, so I get to go home after a short stint at work. This is great news because I have a large amount of homework and cleaning to take care of and getting a head start on it would be priceless. Especially since I'm out a day and a half of homework time due to a conference at Berkeley.

If I were assigning you homework, like I do my 101 students, I would ask you to do the following:
- remind me never to come to class without a lesson plan
- have a beer for me this weekend
- get laid
- and, oh yeah, say HELLO once in a while!
