Driving off into the Sunset

We went up to the city this afternoon and looked at apartments or houses for rent. Three disasters, three goodies. The first goodie was an actual house for rent, which was a great place but a bit expensive. The second goodie was kind of dark and small-feeling, but in a nice, quiet neighborhood. And somehow, we saved the best for last: a third-floor two-story townhouse with nice spacy-feeling rooms, bay windows and parking for two cars. $2100 a month including garbage and hot water. Electric is something we have to pay for, but that's normal. And it's super close to tram and bus lines so that we can get to State, or for Mom to get to work. Also, a short drive or long-ish walk to the beach. Not bad, but it'll probably get snapped up before we're able to move.

That's the bummer.

So, we'll see. Maybe something cool will happen, because they always look for good tenants rather than immediate ones. Well... most of the time.

Please keep your fingers crossed for us however, that we find a nice place for a reasonable price. I'm keeping mine crossed, which will make for very difficult time typing up my homework. :)
