So, Disneyland a few weeks ago was really fun. Splash Mountain was closed, but getting wet would've been a long line to wait in since it was so ungodly hot - at least on Saturday. But Fern's favorite was Tower of Terror and my favorite was the Rockin' California Screamin'. Both rides are at the California park, not Disneyland. It's actually a really nice park - Mom got to wait for us while drinking a nice glass of wine. California is known for its wine... But the Screamin' roller coaster (as well as Space Mountain) had Red Hot Chili Peppers songs attached. Space Mountain had "Higher Ground" and Screamin' had "All Around the World". Both songs were done really well, with high points of the music coinciding with fast parts of the ride. it was extremely cool - and I would go on Screamin' over and over again, no problem. :)
After Disneyland, school and spring break was good - time away from the hectic lifestyle and the Muse concert was fucking fantastic!!!! I adore them, always have, always will. Ian didn't have as much fun as I did, but he did decide it was an awesome concert. Of course, I think he was laughing at the way I was practically jumping out of my seat for every single song. Giggle.
New friends Alexei and Jesse have been keeping me sane as well. Alexei and I could talk about mythology, literature, film, and linguistics for just... forever. Jesse's fantastic with hugs and cuddling when necessary (read: when I begin to fall apart). They both are just all-around wonderful people. I'm very glad I met them. Plus, how can you not like someone whose hair has gone from dark blue to bright red in a matter of weeks?
